Historic hotel gets £385,000 makeover. The Deer Park is an 18th Century country house hotel on the outskirts of Honiton and has reopened its doors following a major refurbishment programme, costing £385,000.

The Hotel has had the whole ground floor upgraded, along with several of the hotel’s bedrooms and bathrooms, just in time for the 2011 season. The hotel was closed for 8 weeks to complete the works.
General Manager of Visit Devon, Rosie Bates commented: “The tourism industry is of course very important to Devon and the South West and it is fantastic to see The Deer Park investing in their product to meet the demands of customers. “It is this kind of investment that will keep tourism in Devon growing and growing,” added Rosie.
Proprietors of the Deer Park, Steve and Ann Noar, have owned the hotel for over 30 years and they are delighted with the refurbishment:
“It has been a very exciting time over the last 8 weeks and we are thrilled with the outcome. We look forward to sharing the changes with all of our guests and hope that they enjoy it as much as we do,” commented proprietor and Head Chef, Ann Noar.
